Let's Talk About VALUE

Value. What is value?  

According to Merriam-Webster, VALUE is::

• a fair return or equivalent in goods, services, or money for something exchanged

And when it comes to a lot of things, like cars, a great steak, shoes and yes, websites and internet marketing, the real value is not visible right on the surface. There's MORE "under the hood".

Scenario. You need a good computer. A fast computer with lots of storage, Touch screen display, Backlit keyboard, and many business apps and functionality, Here are 2 options...

These 2 laptops look exactly the same. So they ARE the same. Obviously the best VALUE is the 399.00 one, right?

Well........maybe if all you need is to surf the web, maybe make a purchase here and there, write a resume or a few essays for school and keep some pictures safe. 

In that case, 399.00 does indeed look like a very good value.

But this is not the scenario we described above.  This one likely is not very fast, so it will get bogged down when you try to multi task.  It also likely doesn't have a backlit keyboard or a touchscreen. So it will be kind of frustrating to use sometimes, especially at night.

And it definitely won't have enough storage for all of your household and tax records and the zillions of vacation images you have taken over the years. 

So now which one looks like the better VALUE?

Right.  The 2799.00 one matches the needs much better. So this is the better value in this scenario.

PRICE does not necessarily equal VALUE.  It's not what something costs. It's what you get for the money and does this one satisfy the needs best.

Why such a price difference between the two very similar looking shoes? Obviously, it's the QUALITY of materials and workmanship. 

Machines made the one on the left. A skilled craftsman, the one on the right.

So a shoe is a shoe right? A car is a car? A website is a website. All the same. True?  No. Not by a long shot.

Do you really want the cheap, empty, "cookie cutter" website program? Or is the better value, and the one that will MAKE you money, the one created, structured, coded and written by a skilled craftsman?

There is MORE...under the hood.  Make sure you look!
