Word of mouth. Word of mouth advertising.
Word...of...mouth. What, exactly, does that even mean?
Let's look more closely. You with me? Let's go.
Definition:
Word-of-Mouth Advertising: Oral publicity.
Good Vs. Bad?
Ex. "Hi Julie! Where are you coming from?" "Hello Cheryl. Jason and I just had dinner at Rubio's. It was really good!"
This would be considered good "word of mouth".
Example #2. "Jim! remember that new gym down on 18th street I mentioned the other day? Did you try them?". "Hi Don. Yes. But it was very small. The equipment was old and they didn't have the best hours."
That is also "word-of-mouth" isn't it? Not so great if passed around.
What if you could super charge any kind of word of mouth?
Think about it. With a cell phone in every hand, NFC technology and digital business cards...Shouldn't all of that link instantly to your fantastic website?
Yikes if you don't have one when they come around looking for you!
Wouldn't a great website immediately solidify a positive impression that you would never get without the site and your best sales message?
So don't pray and hope relying on a random Friday Night recommendation, Facebook post or down the street party comment to come back around build your business on it's own!
Let Your Professional Website draw them back in CLOSE the SALE for You!
Smart, right?
Now THAT is what I think word-of-mouth should really be!
